MEDITATION 

Tracey’s introduction to mediation was over 20 years ago. Tracey struggled at first with the limited idea of what she thought was the only way to meditate. Tracey is happy to say that she discovered that there are so many ways to meditate and we all connect into that space in our unique way. Through Tracey’s healing study and practice, meditation has become a joyful part of what she does and who she is. Tracey has been supported and encouraged with this practice and over the last 10 years incorporated intuitive meditation in her Reiki training, group work, women’s circles and individual clients as part of the healing practice. In 2014 Tracey was supported and guided to write her first book “Messages from the space within” this book captures 24 days of meditation and shares meditative insights and spiritual learning. Tracey is passionate about supporting her clients to find a meditation technique that works for them, so they can go home with this unique tool and continue with their own healing work.

WHAT IS MEDITATION?

​Meditation is a method of quietening the mind, and slowing the brains rhythms.  The goal is to reach the alpha or theta brainwave state, as during these states antibodies and endorphins are released, and these facilitate healing.
Meditation can assist with improving a wide variety of health conditions including, stress, anxiety, headaches, weight issues, addiction, blood pressure issues, insomnia, digestive issues, fertility and reproductive issues, emotional, behavioral and mental health problems.
While some people are effortlessly able to meditate, many people find it difficult to reach a meditative state.  The general steps to get started in meditation are: find a relaxing place to meditate, make sure you wont be disturbed, get comfortable, breathe slowly and deeply, clear your mind, and just observe any thoughts that come to you and let them float by.
There are many relaxation, nature sounds or guided meditation cds and mp3s available for purchase in new age stores, music shops and online that may help you with meditation.

ART MEDITATION

While 'regular' art classes primary interest is normally the end product,  meditative art classes place the inner state of the artist as the main focus.  ​

There are so many benefits of mediation and creating art is another way to access a meditative state of mind. The combining of these two amazing modalities can have profound healing benefits.

It can assist in grounding ourselves, allowing a feeling of flow and freedom assist with self-connection to gather inner insights and is a space for true self-expression. Art mediation is available for group or individuals.
